Nikka Bochniak has been named a partner and principal interior designer at Earth & Images, the full-service interior design firm in Phoenix. Owned by Isabel Dellinger Candelaria, the previous retail store and now interior design studio is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and has rebranded, including a new logo.
“As the company continues to grow, it has become more and more important to establish an identifiable brand,” says Isabel. “With the addition of a partner, and the company’s future in focus, we did an in-depth branding program that took over a year to complete. It took into consideration our past success, our current status and where we want the company to go.”
A Phoenix native, Bochniak returned to the Valley from Omaha about 11 years ago. A six-year associate with Earth & Images, she has been serving as its principal interior designer and holds bachelor’s degrees in interior architecture and photography from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She and husband Nathan have just become new parents.
She remembers the day she interviewed with Isabel and her husband, Valley architect Mark Candelaria, AIA; they asked about her goals. “I said I wanted to learn from the best and eventually own my own firm. Well, Isabel has exceeded these expectations as a mentor and now as a partner. We are so fortunate to have such amazing work and clients. We get to make their dreams realities.”
The nine associates at Earth & Images provide residential and commercial interior designs from the firm’s new studio at 4120 North 20th Street, Suite B. Their work is frequently published. Among numerous awards are several ASID awards and a Luxe Red Award, and the company has been ranked in the top five interior designer firms for Ranking Arizona. In 2019, Isabel was named a “Master of the Southwest” by Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine.
