Dream Cars for Sale

No matter where you are in Arizona, one of the biggest events of each year happens in Scottsdale. The Barrett-Jackson Auction brings people in from around the state as well as all over the world to buy and sell vehicles, new and old.

Since its launch in 1967, the event has grown into the international event of the year. The auction takes place at Westworld of Scottsdale, 16601 N. Pima Road, Jan. 20 to Jan. 28.

In 2022, a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe sold for about $143 million, making it the most expensive car ever sold at auction. If you’re thinking about attending, here are a few tips.

Skip the Lines

Avoid the long box-office lines and buy tickets in advance. Print them or use the AXS Tickets app. Tickets on the app can be transferred.

Skip your Car

Consider a rideshare to avoid the parking hassle and shuttle to and from the event. There are designated spots for rideshares.

Skip the Raincoat

Even if the skies open up, rain can’t hinder this event. With most of the auction under cover, you’re good to go.

Skip the Cash

The auction is a cashless event, except for a few concessions and valet parking. Major credit cards and debit cards are welcome.

Skip the Handbag

Like most events, there is a clear-bag policy and only bags smaller than 6.5”x4.5” are allowed. Clear bags can be up to 12”x6”x12” (about a one-gallon storage bag)

Heads up, no diaper bag unless clear and within guidelines.

Skip the Snacks

Only one sealed water bottle per person under 17 ounces is allowed.

Get an Early Look

The first two days are QuikTrip Family and Preview Days. There’s no live auction, but you can get an advanced look. Children 12 and younger are free (all other days are 18+ only) and can ride the Thrill Ride or Hot Lap.

Download the App

Download the Barrett-Jackson Live app from Google Play or Apple App Store to see schedule, vehicles and automobilia, ticket information and more. Add Lots to the Garage on the app and track selling time and final sale price.
