Heat those Eyelashes for the Curl you Want

If you want fuller-looking lashes, there’s no shortage of ways to achieve it. You can use an eyelash serum, add extensions or tint them. Then there’s always the traditional combo of mascara and an eyelash curler.

But if you want to try something new and get gorgeous, curled lashes, add a heated eyelash curler to the mix.

Heated eyelash curlers don’t clamp your lashes, so they are less damaging. They’re also perfect for straight lashes that resist curling. Heated curling is longer lasting, like using a curling iron on your hair.

Heads up though, heated lash curlers require a steady hand and patience. Poking your eye with a hot tool is about as fun as it sounds.

To use, apply mascara and with curler already heated, rest it near the lash base and slowly pull upward along the lashes for about 10 seconds for a lovely upswept curl. Repeat as necessary.

For an inexpensive heated lash curler, try the YAMYONE Electric Heated Eyelash Curler. It heats up quickly and will do the trick just fine, it’s just not very fancy at about $8.

The Envious Lashes Heated Eye Lash Curler is safe for extensions, separates lashes and can be used after mascara. Costs around $30.

The Lash Star Heated Lash Curler is compact and rechargeable with USB charger rather than batteries, making it a great travel companion. It works on extensions and natural lashes, has four heat settings and a clear temp display. It can be used on brows — find it for around $39.

Finally, if you’re new to heated lash curling, you might want to start slowly. The Grande Cosmetics heated Lash Curler is super easy and has two heat settings, neither of which get so hot that you’ll accidentally burn yourself. Bonus — it has a grooved safety slot to protect the delicate skin around your eyes. Sells for about $39.
