A Flagstaff Retreat Embraced by Nature

ABOUT THE COVER

Nestled in the ponderosa pines of the Flagstaff Ranch golf community, surrounded on
three sides by the golf course, this mountain home is the perfect refuge from the busyness
of everyday life and a reprieve from the heat of the desert.

The 4,700-square-foot home features several outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air. In the winter, the cozy interior offers fireplaces to keep family members warm while watching the snow fall from the floor-to-ceiling glazing.

The homeowner, an avid golfer, stumbled upon the lot the day it was listed and instantly fell in love and purchased it. Cosan Studio was hired to design the perfect family getaway that would allow for privacy from the street and open to the views of the golf course.

The palette of materials includes natural stone, wood siding and steel that will age with a patina only nature can provide as they come together in harmony with the natural surroundings of the forest.
